Stamp Club

Stamp Club met Saturday. I took my camera but no one seemed keen on getting there picture taking Saturday morning! So,  above is a picture of the swaps that were traded.  Not only did I make it to stamp club, which I often miss because I have to work, but I got a swap made! I'm glad I didn't miss it,  Helen demoed these cute Calendar Easel projects (close up below) and then went over some Distress ink techniques with us.  At the store we often get asked about scrapping and stamping groups - if you belong to one we'd love to hear about it.

Just a Reminder

As I was working on my next swap, for the next Stamp Club, my cards weren't quite right, then it dawns on me! TIME TO REINK my pads! It's such a simple thing to do and make a huge difference.  Especially, if you're working with Halloween images. Black is one of those colours that needs to be done regularly. You'll love it, when you go to stamp with your freshly reinked pad and the image comes out perfect, every time!  Happy stamper!  If you don't have you're own reinkers, you can drop by the store and we'll reink you're pads for free.

Card of the Week

This week we have a 'A Warm Hello' using this stamp with an image of the Italian countryside .  I wish that I was sending you a warm hello from Tuscany!   This image from Stampendous has been stamped with black ink and painted in with Twinkling H20's.  The hill and olive branch has been stamped a second time and cut out and adhered with foam tape for some depth.  To finish it off, a little Glossy Accents on the olives.

Scor-Buddy has arrived

The SCOR-BUDDY is a mini portable scoring tool provided by Scor-Pal. It is great for making Folds to make homemade cards. The Scor-Buddy is a mini version of the very popular Scor-Pal. This little buddy will surely be your best pal. With its smaller size it is a card makers dream. It has grooves every 1/4" across the board, plus 1/8" for the first and last inch of the board. It measures approximately 9 x 7.5". It is ideal for invitations, cards, small gift boxes and so much more. It comes with a free Scor-Tool in a snap-in holder and its own faux suede storage tote. It is lightweight and portable, great for taking to your crops.
